They're commonly used in wet environments where an electric-powered vacuum could be hazardous. These vacuum heads generate strong suction to draw materials into an attached 10- to 55-gallon drum.

Drum-top vacuum heads attach to 10- to 55-gallon drums to suction industrial materials into the drum for storage or disposal. They have no tank to empty or clean out, so they can be moved from drum to drum as needed. These vacuum heads are ideal for cleaning up chips, dust, debris, sludge, and large spills. Some vacuum heads can also be used to transfer liquids from tanks and drain pits.
